The Case Manager role at The Starkey Law Group is essential to keeping the legal team running smoothly across Personal Injury and COAM matters by taking administrative and case-processing responsibilities off the attorneys plates so they can stay focused on advocacy and legal strategy. This position is also key to strengthening the client experience through consistent proactive communication while improving day-to-day operational efficiency that protects the firms reputation and results. This is a 100% in-office role (no remote/hybrid) and it is not the Litigation Paralegal position; you will handle pre-suit PI case management along with light litigation-adjacent support (deadline tracking filings coordination docket work court reporter scheduling) and significant binder/book preparation for hearings trials and presentations.

What youll do:

  • Pre-Suit Personal Injury Case Management: Manage PI cases from intake through settlement including medical records/bills demands damages tracking and negotiations under attorney guidelines.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a consistent point of contact for clientstimely updates clear next steps and strong client service.
  • Court Litigation-Adjacent Support (Light but Required): Calendar deadlines pull dockets request transcripts schedule court reporters and assist with court filings as needed.
  • Binder / Book Creation: Prepare hearing binders trial notebooks exhibits and presentation materials (including internal trainings and attorney presentations).
  • COAM Support: Assist with COAM arbitration case administration (filings scheduling case tracking) up to appeal support as needed.
  • Invest Atlanta Collections (If Assigned): Support collections accountspayment plan tracking debtor communications and reporting updates.
  • Case System Management: Open/maintain/close electronic files keep correspondence saved properly maintain case reports and track case-related expenses.
  • In-Office Operational Support: Mail processing post office/court runs meeting support and other hands-on tasks needed to keep the office running smoothly.


What were looking for:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in personal injury case management in a law firm; able to plug in quickly with minimal ramp-up.
  • Litigation Awareness: Comfortable with litigation-adjacent support (deadlines dockets court reporters transcripts basic filing coordination).
  • Binder/Trial Notebook Competency: Confident preparing hearing binders and trial notebooks and organizing exhibits/presentation books.
  • Case Management Software: Experience with MyCase (or similar) and strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Managing Up / Emotional Intelligence: Able to support multiple attorneys with different work styles without using conflicting instructions as an excusecommunicates priorities clearly and proactively.
  • Culture Fit: No ego flexible hands-onno rigid job-description boundaries.
  • Location: 100% in-office availability is non-negotiable.
