Job Summary
The Manager IT Finance proactively leads technology spend reporting and cost modeling responsibilities within the Financial Planning & Analysis group partnering closely with IT and business leaders to improve cost tracking visibility deliver timely insights and drive decision-making. This individual will play a critical role in supporting IT investment decisions in an environment where annual tech spend has scaled rapidly. This is a new role for the organization reports to a Senior Director and will serve as the financial lead interfacing with the CIO and IT project teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the dedicated finance partner to the IT function embedded within FP&A
- Build and own the IT annual spend budget incorporating labor software systems and third-party development
- Develop and maintain a deep set of KPIs and cost drivers to support the P x Q structure of project estimates
- Enable tracking and accountability of IT development projects through metric-driven modeling
- Evaluate and challenge investment proposals; support capital approval processes with robust financial justification
- Partner with IT leaders to cost out scrum teams and development initiatives
- Conduct monthly variance analyses and scenario planning tied to major IT programs
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance IT and department leaders to improve cost transparency cost allocation logic and spend governance
- Interface with the capital committee and executive leadership on IT budget strategy and oversight
- Create and deliver presentations (charts/graphs/tables) for the Senior Leadership Team and other stakeholders highlighting drivers implications and recommended actions
- Leverage and enhance tools (Cognos Oracle ERP Excel and/or SQL where applicable) to automate reporting streamline processes and reduce manual effort
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or General Business
- 5 years in FP&A or corporate finance with direct experience supporting IT or product development groups
- Proven ability to model complex project-based costsideally in agile SaaS or tech-enabled environments
- Strong command of Excel and driver-based financial modeling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Skilled in working with technical leaders and holding stakeholders accountable
- Comfortable acting independently while contributing to a broader FP&A structure
- Familiar with agile team roles project scoping and capital planning workflows
- SQL knowledge a plus; ability to pull/validate data and improve reporting pipelines
- Self-driven proactive and comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
