The Head of Merchant Digital Sales is to drive adoption and active usage of the banks merchant storefront increase transaction volumes and improve lending outcomes through digital collections. The role ensures the storefront becomes a major revenue and credit-quality channel.

Works with: Product Risk Lending BRMs CX Data
Key Responsibilities
1. Merchant Growth & Usage
- Drive adoption of the storefront among targeted merchant segments.
- Ensure merchants actively transact not just onboard.
- Reduce dormant accounts and increase transaction frequency.
2. BRM-Led Sales Execution
- Integrate storefront sales into the BRM (Business Relationship Manager) process.
- Train and guide BRMs on merchant selection pitching and activation.
- Design incentives linked to storefront usage and sales volume.
3. Revenue & Transaction Growth
- Own and grow total transaction value (GMV) through storefronts.
- Increase digital collections and settlement balances.
- Ensure merchants inflow land directly into bank accounts.
4. Credit & Lending Impact
- Work with Risk and Lending teams to use storefront data for credit decisions.
- Improve loan eligibility approval rates and repeat borrowing.
- Reduce delinquency among storefront merchants.
5. Product & Execution Oversight
- Act as business owner of the storefront.
- Decide product priorities and prevent unnecessary features.
- Ensure timely execution and scale decisions.

Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong merchant or SME sales leadership.
- Digital payments or collections experience.
- Revenue and transaction growth management.
- Credit or lending understanding.
- Field sales/relationship management experience.
- Data-driven decision making.
- Cross-functional leadership (Product Risk CX etc.).
- Strategic planning and execution discipline.
Required Qualifications
Preferred:
- 4-7 years experience in fintech microfinance or commercial banking.
- Business banking
- Merchant acquiring
- Digital payments
- SME lending or sales
- Strong understanding of digital collections and credit-linked products.
- At least 3 years in a senior leadership or national sales role.
- Proven track record of:
- Driving transaction volume or revenue growth.
- Managing field sales or relationship teams.
- Delivering measurable business outcomes.
