The Information Technology Department is responsible for providing global technology services that connect the firm in collaborating and innovating for our clients and people. The Specialist Legal Products operates within the IT Business Solutions team whose goal is to ensure that the right projects are delivered and that they align to the firms vision and strategic priorities. Team members are expected to fit into the firms culture and be committed to providing a high quality of service to our customers.

The Specialist Legal Products will focus on the adoption and rollout of new AI solutions across the firm and provide solutions and recommendations to complex legal use cases with AI. They will also be responsible for the update and maintenance of the firms internal Knowledge system (SharePoint) task management document review and corporate structure diagramming systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop a subject matter expert level of understanding across the suite of legal products the team supports.
  • Support with the rollout and adoption of Copilot across the firm.
  • Actively promote our legal products to our network of Knowledge Lawyers to help increase adoption and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our client offering.
  • Work with our Knowledge Lawyers to identify opportunities and advise where AI can support our employees.
  • Partner closely with our vendors to ensure that systems remain up to date stable and are taking advantage of the latest features.
  • Provide system demonstrations and training to lawyers on the suite of Legal Products.
  • Respond and action requests to the Legal Products Support mailbox.
  • Maintain and update user guides.
  • Monitor system usage and produce analytic reporting to the Senior Manager Legal Products.
  • Participate in the review and assessment of new technologies; Provide user support during product pilots new releases and enhancement requests.
  • Work with the team to test new software features and upgrades as they become available and provide analysis and evaluation.
  • Attend and support internal legal tech events to promote the legal products the team supports.
  • Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in personnel and management structure staff location and services.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Able to demonstrate the ability to learn new concepts and new products.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the construction of modern software products (e.g. Front-end Database Cloud etc.).
  • Interest in the future direction of legal technology systems and AI.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues.
  • Delivery and deadline focused when solving client requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and delivery of high-quality work.
  • Self-management and excellent organization skills in order to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
  • Highly effective as part of a wider team who can build relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication presentation and documentation skills.
  • A self-starter who can identify interpret and manage stakeholder requests and expectations.
  • Advanced skills in Word Excel PowerPoint and SharePoint.

EDUCATION CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in legal technology and/or knowledge systems preferably within a law firm or professional service environment.
  • Experience working with new and emerging technologies and driving the adoption of AI solutions essential.
  • Experience with Copilot and driving adoption with relevant use cases in legal.
  • Bachelors degree is preferred.

HOURS

Core hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with one hour for lunch. Additional hours may be necessary on occasion to meet user or project needs.

In Washington D.C. the expected base salary range for this role is $124000 to $140000 per year.

This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidates qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation which may include annual discretionary bonuses. Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm subject to applicable plan terms and conditions which currently include medical dental and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; and paid time off.
