Job Summary
POSITION:Assistant Professor of Christian Ministry/ Director of Master of Arts in Christian Ministry
DESCRIPTION:East Texas Baptist University invites applications for a full-time career-track position in BH Carroll Theological Seminary as Assistant Professor of Christian Ministry and Director of the Master of Arts in Christian Ministry program. The position begins August 2026 and will include program director duties teaching responsibilities participation in departmental meetings and review contribution to curriculum development and student advising duties.
DUTIES:
- Oversee the development of current and future programs.
- Engage in activities to increase graduate student enrollment.
- Provide effective management of the MACM program.
- Teaches undergraduate and graduate courses as assigned.
- Develops syllabus and course content.
- Selects textbook and other course materials.
- Uses Learning Management System (Canvas) to post course content and grades.
- Maintains availability to meet with students concerning course.
- Advises and mentors graduate students.
- Participates in scholarly activities and professional development.
- Assists with accreditation preparation site visits and annual accreditation reporting.
- Participates in departmental and university activities.
- Serves on department and program committees.

Employee agrees that he or she is an active member of a local Baptist church or Christian denominational church and regularly attends as a servant leader and role model for the students of ETBU employee is required to participate in the life of the University via institutional meetings Chapel services prayer emphases discipleship programming committee participation local community ministry/service and campus activities and events. Employee provides active support of the spiritual intellectual and educational ideals values activities and objectives of East Texas Baptist University; and conforms to Christian standards of faith and service.
