Primary Purpose:

Provide program leadership and operational support to ensure an aligned and articulated digital learning program. Collaborate with teachers campus administrators counselors and district personnel to support effective development and implementation of district virtual learning programs.

Qualifications:

Education and Certification

  • Masters degree from an accredited university
  • Valid Texas principal certificate or other appropriate Texas educator certification

Experience

  • Three (3) years of experience as a campus administrator
  • Experience in virtual blended or online learning programs (preferred)

Knowledge and Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices for online learning environments
  • Comprehensive knowledge of district-approved learning management systems and digital instructional platforms
  • Ability to analyze program-level data including student progress and course completion outcomes
  • Ability to monitor program effectiveness and implement continuous improvement processes
  • Ability to interpret implement and monitor district policies and procedures
  • Advanced organizational interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training and professional learning for adult staff
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with teachers campus administrators and counselors

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional and Program Management

  • Coordinate implementation of district digital learning programs in alignment with district expectations and instructional frameworks including related summer learning programs.
  • Collaborate with campus principals counselors and district staff to support scheduling enrollment and staffing processes.
  • Review digital course structures and instructional models to ensure alignment with program design expectations.
  • Analyze program-level data including student participation progress and course completion outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Recommend program adjustments and improvements based on data trends and evaluative findings.
  • Compile maintain and submit reports and documentation related to program implementation and outcomes.
  • Determine continued eligibility for participation in the program based on established expectations and effectiveness measures.

Staffing and Program Development

  • Recruit interview and select teachers to serve in the digital learning programs in accordance with district guidelines.
  • Establish and communicate program expectations for teachers serving in digital instructional roles.
  • Monitor teacher participation and performance within the program based on established program standards.
  • Make recommendations regarding teacher participation in the digital learning program based on effectiveness reliability and adherence to program expectations.

Professional Learning and Support

  • Plan design and deliver professional learning related to program purpose instructional design expectations and effective use of district-approved digital platforms.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to teachers and administrators to promote consistent program implementation.
  • Collaborate with district technology staff and instructional departments to support program needs.
  • Monitor implementation of digital instructional resources to ensure appropriate and effective use.

Budget and Inventory

  • Participate in the development preparation and administration of the budget for supplies equipment and facilities in the area of assignment.

  • Adhere to all district policies procedures and expectations as outlined in the employee handbook and administrative regulations.
  • Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Engage in strategic planning leadership collaboration and continuous professional growth aligned with the goals of the department and district.
  • Perform additional duties assigned to support the mission and goals of the district and department.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise program participation of teachers assigned to the digital learning program.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals

Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting

Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching

Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); occasional physical restraint of students to control behavior

Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; work inside and outside (exposure to sun heat cold and inclement weather) exposure to noise; occasional districtwide and statewide travel

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; Maintain emotional control under stress
