Job Summary

Subject to formal establishment Joint Boarding process and sS Policies a vacancy will arise for a Lt Col to serve asSO1 Joint Force Training Policy and Plansat the Integrated Warfare Centre Northwood HQ on ADC Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 1 Apr 26 (subject to candidate status)

Up to 180 RSDs per year are available for the right candidate to conduct the role.

Unit Function:

IWCs mission to optimise and adapt the current integrated force through concepts and warfare development to support UK and NATO joint commanders to achieve operational advantage over adversaries across the continuum of competition.

Position Role:

SO1 Trg Pol & Plans will support refinement and implementation of Defence Collective Trg Policy (JSP 822 Vol 3) and support the planning and delivery of JFT-led Joint Exercise activity.

Responsibilities:

Advise shape evaluate arbitrate and prioritise Joint capability across all DLODs
Refine and update the Joint Force Training SOIs
Refine and implement Defence Collective Trg Policy (JSP 822 Vol 3)
Lead Exercise Planning Teams for UK JTF HQ and Component CPXs at Op level (Tier 3) and Strategic Level (Tier 4)
Lead Exercise Planning Teams and UK participation in Op level CPXs with the NATO JEF and other alliances
Supervise civilian contract staff (IWCST) in planning co-ordinating and conducting Joint Exercises
Assume a head of cell duty in the running of EXCON for planned exercises.
