Reporting to the VP you will provide strategic oversight and support of Group Risk and Compliance matters including resource planning capability building and guidance to OpCo Risk and Compliance teams.
Make An Impact By
- Governance Framework
Lead the design implementation and continuous enhancement of the Singtel Group Governance Framework to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements industry best practices and internal policies. - Governance Structure and Accountability
Establish clear governance structures roles and accountabilities across the Group ensuring effective oversight and decision-making. - Monitoring and Escalation
Monitor adherence to governance standards and escalate significant gaps or breaches to senior management and the Board Risk Committee. - Governance Culture
Engage senior leaders and functional heads to champion a strong governance culture across the Group. - Special Projects Leadership
Drive strategic GRC-related projects such as framework modernization and governance transformation initiatives. Manage project timelines budgets and stakeholder engagement to deliver outcomes aligned with Group objectives. - Governance in Strategic Initiatives
Support risk assessments for major projects and strategic initiatives ensuring governance considerations are embedded in decision-making processes. - Other Responsibilities
Perform any other duties as assigned to support Group Risk and Compliance objectives.
Skills for Success
- Relevant degree in Risk Management Finance Accounting Business or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g. FRM CPA CA ICA CISA) strongly preferred.
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in enterprise risk management governance compliance and/or internal controls roles preferably within large complex or regulated organisations.
- Demonstrated experience designing implementing and enhancing Group-wide governance and risk frameworks across multiple operating entities or geographies
- Strong experience leading cross-functional Group-level strategic initiatives (e.g. governance transformation framework modernisation)
- Experience managing and influencing diverse stakeholders without direct authority including OpCo risk leaders and functional heads
- Proven leadership credibility to operate at Group level.
- Advanced knowledge of governance risk management and control concepts leading risk management practices and standards (e.g. ISO 31000 COSO)
- Strong grasp of governance structures accountability models and assurance mechanisms within a federated or matrix organisation.
- Sound judgement in identifying material risk and governance gaps with the confidence to escalate appropriately to senior management and Board committees.
- Strategic structured thinker with strong execution discipline project management capability and a bias for practical outcomes.
- Strong leadership and engagement skills with ability to manage across functions levels cultures and geographies.
- In-depth understanding of the telecommunications/ ICT industry and the risks faced by the Singtel Group and its include the technology risks competition and transformation developments in the telecommunications / ICT industry environmental risks regulatory risks cyber security risks etc.
