Job Summary

Summer Cleaner

Term of Employment: Monday to Friday 7:00am 3:00pm (hours could vary) July 2 2026 to September 4 2026

$ 26.58 per hour (40 hour/week)

Reporting to the Facilities Operations Supervisor you will perform a variety of duties including but not limited to:

  • Dusting and sanitizing surfaces in classrooms and offices.

  • Cleaning washrooms floors walls fixtures windows chalkboards .

  • Vacuuming carpets mopping floors etc.

  • Moving furniture and equipment - desks chairs cafeteria tables classroom equipment etc . for cleaning purposes.

Relevant training and safety equipment will be provided.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous cleaning experience.

  • Able to meet the physical demands of this position (lifting standing pushing pulling twisting movements).

  • Proficient English written oral and reading communication skills .

  • Able to work with minimal supervision .

Successful candidates will be working at various Board sites across the Hamilton-Wentworth District. Reliable transportation (including but not limited to access to a bus route and/or car) is essential.
