About Riverside Marine
Riverside Marine is one of Australias leading and long-established marine companies having been founded in Brisbane in 1926.
The company operates throughout Queensland and Western Australia. The services offered are diverse but all have a connection with marine or shipping activity. They include sand & gravel dredging sand drying & manufacturing tug & barge transport harbour towage passenger and car ferries and charters.

Based at our headquarters in Brisbane you will be a key member of our finance and accounting team providing general accounting services to the business.
This role will see you:
- recording transactions compiling and analyzing data performing audits assisting with budgets and financial forecasting computing taxes and reporting their findings to management and other entities
- implement and maintain systems processes and procedures to ensure robust accounting governance and reliable financial information
- ensuring both direct and indirect taxes are reconciled and paid on time
- preparation and lodgement of all tax related returns and obligations
- prepare annual financial statements ready for external audit
Expectations
It is expected you will hold a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting or Finance or similar and at least 2 years work experience and:
- be safety focused
- possess a growth mindset
- have strong written and verbal communication skills
- demonstrate strong financial and accounting literacy with sound knowledge of relevant tax and accounting standards and legislation
- have advanced Excel skills (including external database queries. Power BI experience will be highly regarded)
- be experienced in computer-based applications preferably Pronto
