The primary objective of this position is to support to the wider Finance team across general accounting and areas of compliance including assisting with the processes which contribute to the preparation of the monthly reporting budgeting and forecasting and the production of the half and full year statutory financial statements.
About the role:
- Preparing the monthly BAS returnsfor the GST group and supporting the preparation of the annual FBT return.
- Coordinating the quarterly audits with KPMG.
- Overseeing vendor setups and approvalscompleted by the Project Administration team.
- Coordinating the monthly payment claims to VIDA (client).
- Preparingfinancialstatements and monthly reportsforjointventure entities as required.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years similar work experience in accounting firm or commerce.
- Site-based engineering or construction experience
- Ability to use initiative to work across competing priorities in order to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated advanced skills with Microsoft Excel including spreadsheet creation and the use of formulas and functions
- Viewpoint or similar ERP experience
