Job Summary

Our Northern & Capricornia team is looking for an Integrity Officer to join them in our mission to make Rugby League safe and accessible throughout Queensland.

To us Rugby League is more than a game. At the QRL youll help unite and inspire Queenslanders through lifelong engagement in Rugby League. Working across community clubs youll play a critical role in ensuring the game is fair safe inclusive and trusted by everyone involved.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in complex people-focused environments can navigate sensitive situations with empathy and confidence and is passionate about education integrity and positive outcomes.

What youll do on a day-to-day

As the Integrity Officer youll be the key point of contact for incident and complaint management within your region while also leading education and training initiatives that build capability and confidence across clubs leagues volunteers and participants. Youll also:

  • Triage manage and resolve incidents and complaints across areas such as child safety member protection concussion PEP and Code of Conduct matters escalating complex cases where required.
  • Act as the regional subject matter expert on integrity-related policies procedures and frameworks.
  • Provide advice guidance and support to clubs leagues and internal teams to ensure consistent and compliant processes.
  • Deliver education and training programs (in collaboration with the State Programs team) to players officials parents volunteers and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain training resources aligned to adult learning principles and best practice.
  • Coordinate volunteer education sessions and ensure participants understand available support services.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams external stakeholders and delivery partners to support positive community outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records reporting and documentation for incidents training and education delivered.
  • Travel across the region as required understanding that Rugby League operates outside of the typical Monday- Friday 9-5.

What youll bring

Youre calm under pressure fair-minded and confident handling sensitive matters with a genuine commitment to integrity and inclusion. Youll also bring:

  • Experience in an integrity complaints management governance or training-focused role (sporting or not-for-profit experience highly regarded).
  • A strong understanding of Rugby League rules codes of conduct and tribunal processes. (highly regarded)
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trust across diverse groups.
  • Experience designing and delivering education and training across different formats (workshops webinars e-learning).
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • A current drivers licence and the ability to travel across the region.
  • Current Blue Card (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • First Aid and Mental Health First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Train the Trainer Certification (highly regarded)

ROLE SPECS

This is a permanent full-time position that can be based anywhere in North Queensland or Capricornia. The salary for this position is $80000 plus superannuation. QRL remunerate based on the position requirements to ensure gender pay equity in sport. We offer 4 weeks annual leave and 1 week of refresh leave throughout the season as well as hybrid working arrangements.
