Our client a leading infrastructure contractor delivering major rail and transport projects is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team in North Sydney.
About the Role
This role is part of a long-term rail infrastructure program and involves working within a brownfield environment delivering maintenance and major works. You will play a key role in coordinating engineering activities supporting project delivery and ensuring technical and commercial outcomes are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate engineering deliverables across complex work packages
Support project planning reporting forecasting and cost management
Analyse construction performance and implement improvement strategies
Manage engineering records budgets and financial tracking
Lead temporary works reviews and technical risk assessments
Coordinate with subcontractors and internal stakeholders
Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimisation
Support programme updates and project delivery milestones
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 5 years experience in infrastructure or rail projects
Experience working in brownfield environments highly regarded
Strong understanding of construction planning and project delivery
Experience managing subcontractors and technical interfaces
Proven ability to manage budgets forecasting and reporting
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment
