King & Moffatt Building Services are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join the business in a stand-alone HR role based in Wolverhampton.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to have responsibility for the operational management of the Human Resources function at King & Moffatt. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of Human Resources across the business providing hands-on practical HR support within a Mechanical and Electrical contract business. The successful candidate will be confident managing employee relations matters advising managers and making difficult well-judged people decisions.
What you would do
- Act as the primary point of contact for all HR matters across the business
- Provide expert advice and guidance on HR policies procedures and employment legislation
- Manage employee relations cases end-to-end including grievances disciplinaries absence and performance management
- Handle complex and sensitive HR issues making balanced and confident decisions
- Respond to general HR queries from managers and employees in a timely and professional manner
- Develop implement and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Support recruitment onboarding and employee assimilation processes
- Manage the local Apprentice and Graduate Programmes including enhancing relationships with third-level colleges and attending careers fairs etc
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Promote best practice people management within a project-based workforce
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation company policies and EHSQ requirement
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a Human Resources Manager or equivalent HR managerial role
- Significant experience working within a Human Resources generalist position
- Proven experience managing grievances disciplinaries and complex HR cases
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation
- Ability to work independently in a stand-alone HR role
- Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Previous experience within the construction or engineering sector
- Experience supporting site-based or project-driven workforces
- CIPD qualification or equivalent
- Experience advising senior management on people matters
Given the project-based nature of the work carried out by K&M you will be expected to work on varying sites and/or travel to varying sites across the country in the normal course of your work.
