The Purchasing Clerk supports the Procurement Specialist in daytoday purchasing activities ensuring smooth operations across ordering vendor communication and data management.
Accountabilities:
- Prepare and issue purchase orders under the guidance of the Procurement Specialist.
- Verify order details pricing and quantities before submission and confirm accuracy to the sales confirmation.
- Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with vendors on expected delivery dates.
- Update internal systems with order status changes flag delays or discrepancies to keep internal teams informed.
- Assist in resolving minor logistics issues order shortages overages or delivery discrepancies.
- Support the RMA process by preparing documentation and coordinating returns.
- Match invoices to purchase orders to ensure accuracy on financial audits.
- Update pricing product codes and vendor information in the purchasing database.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings through bulk buys or vendor promotions.
- Gather quotes and product information to support decisionmaking by the Procurement Specialist.
Qualifications :
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Eagerness to learn procurement processes and vendor management.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets ERP systems and digital documentation.
- Clear communication skills and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.

- Annual salary range: 60-65k CAD per year.
- Ability to obtain required security clearances and confidentiality agreements.
