Job Summary

  • Provides support in the efficient and effective management of the practice including scheduling greeting clients file management documentation management etc.;
  • Prepares account related documents including docket entries billing summaries accounts etc.;
  • Facilitates communication between lawyers clients and external clients;
  • Completes first drafts of Wills powers of attorney and trusts;
  • Prepare and manage probate applications;
  • Review and prepare estate accounts;
  • Prepare court documents in support of estate matters including contested passings of accounts application for advice and direction guardianship applications variations of trust etc.
  • Keeps abreast of any changes in specialty area and is quickly able to adapt procedures to meet requirements;
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned and or required from time to time.

Qualifications :

  • 3-5 years experience in Wills & Estate Law
  • Strong computer skills using MS Office WINDUP Estatably and PCLaw;
  • Ability to work effectively independently under minimal supervision as well as part of a team with lawyers law clerks and clients;
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities with strong attention to details;
  • Exceptional attitude and work ethic;
  • Willingness to assist others voluntarily or as requested in a team environment;
  • Enjoy working in a large office and team environment;
  • Willingness and ability to support and enhance firms presence and goals.
