Ravenscroft School is seeking a Private Voice Lesson Instructor to work with Middle and Upper School students as part of its Fine Arts program. This part-time on-campus role provides individualized voice instruction to students across a range of experience levels and supports their musical growth through performance preparation structured feedback and collaboration with families and faculty.
This position is ideal for a passionate and skilled voice educator who enjoys mentoring young musicians building strong relationships with students and families and contributing to a positive professional and collaborative learning environment.

What Youll Do
- Maintain a private voice studio of up to 15 Middle and Upper School students
- Teach private voice lessons five days per week following Ravenscrofts 8-Day Rotation schedule
- Establish clear expectations and communicate proactively with students and families
- Design and implement a progressive curriculum grounded in vocal pedagogy technique ear training and sight-singing
- Prepare students for at least one required performance each academic year
- Create lesson assignments and provide consistent structured instruction
- Provide regular feedback to students and families including written comments and rubric-based evaluations twice per academic year
- Schedule private lessons in accordance with Private Lesson Scheduling Rules and Guidelines
- Serve as a Recital Manager and Recital Class Clinician for at least one Private Lesson Recital and one Private Lesson Recital Class during the academic year
- Support voice and choir students as needed at off-campus festivals and adjudicated events
- Maintain a growth mindset that supports student development and fosters a positive learning environment

Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of successful private voice teaching experience with Middle and Upper Schoolaged students
- Bachelors degree in Music or Music Education
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students families and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction for students with varied abilities and learning styles
- Knowledge of vocal pedagogy technique ear training and sight-singing
- Familiarity with vocal literature and instructional materials
- High level of professionalism organization and collaboration
- Willingness to serve as a Recital Manager and Recital Class Clinician
Preferred:
- 5 years of successful private voice teaching experience including preparation for recitals and adjudicated events
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Music or Music Education with Voice as a principal instrument
- Demonstrated understanding of child and adolescent development
- Passion for working with students across a wide range of ages and abilities
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This role is based on Ravenscrofts campus and includes work in music studios classrooms and performance spaces. The position requires regular movement throughout campus prolonged periods of standing and singing during instruction and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students and colleagues. Occasional evening or weekend commitments may be required for recitals performances and events. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
