Job Summary
The RCAM Carpentry Lab Instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering standardized lab content to support industrial training programs in a hands-on lab environment.
Job Duties
Deliver carpentry lab training content
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for advanced development work of industrial programs
Drive improvement in process effectiveness and efficiency
Promote the carpentry program to recruit apprentices/students from area businesses and high schools
Adhere to RCAM schedule and inclement weather policies which may differ from other NESCC schedules and/or closures.
Complete other assignments as directed by supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be craft qualified at the journeyman level in Carpentry.
Experience working in a construction setting.
Preferred Qualifications
AS Degree in a related field.
Experience teaching Carpentry.
NCCER Certified Instructor.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Technology Skills: MS Office skills Word Excel Access; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems.
Must be capable of learning new technology and apply the new technology in the lab environment .
