ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist clinicians in developing and implementing treatment plans with goals that are measurable
attainable and ensure success based upon patients clinical assessments and face-to-face interviews.
Assist with regular patient reviews and analysis of patients progress or setbacks and make adjustment
recommendations to support successful transitions.
Complete clinical documentation under the guidance of a licensed clinician.
Advanced students may have the opportunity to work with patients doing assessments crisis
interventions and create/run their own groups.
Minimum time commitment is as required by the Intern/student to fulfill educational requirements.
Demonstrate a positive empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When
patient needs are not met acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety
is a top priority.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Working towards a Masters Degree in Social Work or related counseling field from an accredited
Masters program.
Currently eligible for supervision leading to LCSW LPC or LCPC.
CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by
facility).
First aid may be required based on state or facility.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
Licensure or certification for counseling as required by the state in which the facility operates.
This an unpaid internship.
