Role

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) youll play a pivotal role in driving our revenue growth. Serving as a vital link between marketing and sales youll lead outreach efforts to expand into new markets while also qualifying warm leads to strengthen our sales pipeline. Your focus will be on research targeted prospecting and generating high-quality opportunities that highlight our unique value proposition.

This strategic role gives you the autonomy to be creative/proactive with your outbound and inbound strategies. So you wont be given a script to repeat. Instead youll be given goals and work with your manager to build the messaging/workflows/strategies needed to achieve them together.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities from net-new greenfield accounts that align with runZeros ICP
  • Find and qualify leads through outbound prospecting methods using our sales automation tools
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders (account executives marketing sales operations fellow BDRs)
  • Oversee and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects while strategically partnering with account executives to create and utilize playbooks to win prioritized accounts
  • Create account plans by conducting research and synthesizing information and other materials that reflect a grasp of runZeros customers needs and how runZero delivers value
  • Write emails and letters youd love to open; ask compelling questions
  • Help drive target contacts to attend marketing events and reply to our campaigns by following up on Account Based Marketing campaigns and partnering with Marketing
  • Complete accurate tracking of communication with current and potential customers in our CRM

Requirements

  • Passionate about delighting customers with exceptional relationship-building

  • An effective listener with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive contributor in meetings who consistently expresses thoughtful ideas

Salary range

runZero values transparency in the hiring process. According to our market data were expecting this role to come in at a salary of $85k OTE plus stock options.

  • Initial one-on-one interviews with a recruiter and manager

  • Candidate challenge - a role-specific challenge designed for you to showcase your strengths and allow us to assess your skills in a hands-on exercise
  • A final interview conducted either remotely or in-person if we havent yet met face-to-face in previous rounds
