We Are
Were a team of 35 User Experience Research professionals at Oracle NetSuite shaping the core elements of the NetSuite product. We are part of a larger community of 150 Experience Designers Content and UI Designers Technical Writers and other creative professionals across Oracle NetSuite. Collaborating closely with NetSuite leadership under Evan Goldberg we contribute to Oracles Redwood design system.

Your Role
As a Principal UX Researcher youll lead research strategy and methodologies ensuring research is fully integrated into product development. Youll deliver insights that support the product vision and strategy for foundational NetSuite products - including onboarding navigation Ask Oracle search data management and design systemsto provide a seamless cohesive user experience.

Youll influence product strategy inform product iteration and measure user experiences to drive investment decisions. At the intersection of user needs business priorities and technology youll uncover key insights about enterprise system users guiding how we build for them. Youll set research vision mature our practice and equip cross-functional partners for insight-led decisions.

You will bring structure to complexity and align product and design teams around strategic goals moving comfortably between big-picture thinking and connecting the dots across workstreams.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 8 years in user research ideally in the enterprise domain; experience with foundational features (onboarding navigation search design systems) is a plus.
  • Skilled in planning and executing research and usability activitiesinterviews surveys usability evaluations etc.
  • Experience with research on AI experiences and using AI as a research tool.
  • Degree in Psychology HCI Human Factors or related field (advanced degree a plus).
  • Comfortable in ambiguous environments proactively determining necessary research.
  • Strong independence ownership and initiative in managing projects and priorities.
  • Passion for elevating research craft mentoring and fostering an effective research culture.
  • Excellent organizational analytical presentation and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English for business and customer research.
  • Flexibility to work with distributed teams and travel (<5%) as needed across the US Canada Spain Czech Republic and the UK.
  • Familiarity with research platforms like Dscout Zoom survey tools and research repositories.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute both strategic and tactical research.
  • Lead foundational and generative research on emerging needs mental models workflows and platform dynamics.
  • Conduct evaluative research on key themes such as AI analytics navigation onboarding and design systems.
  • Map complex systems and dependencies to inform strategy and identify opportunities.
  • Work with Research Leadership to define research strategies for both near-term planning and long-term vision.
  • Synthesize research across studies and teams to reveal broad patterns and actionable insights.
  • Exercise judgment on research prioritization and approaches leveraging existing evidence when appropriate.
  • Partner with Product Design and Engineering to embed user-centric thinking in decision-making.
  • Mentor researchers ensuring rigor and impactful outcomes aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate globally with the Foundations research team and a worldwide network of over 35 researchers.
  • Help establish strong research methodologies and processes for evidence-based design.
  • Foster user-centric processes to build empathy and improve the product experience.
  • Contribute to a global scalable research practice.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

CA: Hiring Range in CAD from: $90300 to $140300 per annum.
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97500 to $199500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience market conditions and locations as well as reflect Oracles differing products industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
