EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required:

• Masters Degree
• Valid Colorado Principal Licensure
• Three years successful teaching successful leadership internship at least three years of successful elementary school administration and supervision.
• PRAXIS (passed)

Preferred:

• At least three years of elementary school teaching experience
• CPI training (may be obtained upon hire)
• Spanish speaker

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective: This dynamic energetic principal demonstrates effective and creative leadership skills aimed at developing a caring collaborative community and guiding a total educational program as well as a bilingual program for the elementary school that will result in increased student engagement and achievement. The principal inspires creates a vision and directs the educational program all personnel administration community relations to promote a positive workplace and environment for students and staff.

Supervises the schools educational program of highly engaged staff in student achievement. Generates high standards to ensure quality learning experiences that result in success for all students. Collaborates with the families and staff to build a school community that is committed to and focused on a system of learning. Assists in the development revisions and evaluation of the district-approved curriculum based on state and district standards. Focuses on achievement data in a problem-solving process that includes all staff as outlined in Innovation2030. Monitors the effective use of instructional time on-task whether in-person or virtual learning environment. Responsible for the schools extracurricular program. Organizes and manages human and financial resources to create a safe and effective working and learning environment and maximizes the impact to culture and achievement at the school. Develops and supervises the school budget to maximize the use of available resources. Supervises and maintains accurate internal fund accounting related to all school activities and allied organizations.

Skilled at Professional Development and Staff Evaluation
Supervises or delegates the assigning and evaluation of the schools professional staff. Embraces a growth mindset and motivates staff to work continually on student engagement and on their professional practice. May need to recommend the removal of a teacher whose work is unsatisfactory according to established evaluation procedures. Encourages a culture of continuous learning and supports the personal and professional development of self and others. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Mental Ability

• Demonstrates skills and abilities in working with teachers in developing effective teaching strategies in a co-teaching/team environment.
• Ability to successfully communicate with lead and problem-solve with diverse groups of people. Use a problem-solving approach to develop a unified improvement plan.
• Knowledge of adolescent growth and development and implications for instructional decisions influencing the teaching/learning cycle. Knowledge of Colorado and district content standards.
• Infrequent lifting of objects not exceeding 30 pounds. Visual auditory and ambulatory ability. Hand and finger dexterity. Physical and mental abilities sufficient to perform the essential functions and duties of the position as outlined.
