Early Childhood Teacher

Kids First Australia is seeking a committed and inspiring Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team at Southern Cross Kindergarten in Endeavour Hills in a parental leave position until the end of the school year. This is a wonderful opportunity to work within a caring team and a diverse vibrant community that values strong relationships cultural safety and high-quality early learning.

About the Role

This position covers Wednesday and Friday teaching days totalling 16.30 hours per week under the VECTEA agreement. You will lead a high-quality kindergarten program that reflects the needs strengths and voices of children and families while contributing to ongoing quality improvement across the service.

What Youll Bring

• Ideally a bachelors degree in early childhood education (ACECQA approved)
• 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF VEYLDF and NQS
• Strong understanding of Child Safe Standards and Early Childhood Regulations
• Confidence in delivering a culturally safe inclusive and responsive program
• A strong commitment to child safety ethical practice and professional integrity
• Experience contributing to:
  • Continuity of learning and program planning
  • QIP processes
  • School Readiness Funding (SRF) initiatives
  • Childrens learning cycles documentation and assessment
• Warm communication skills and the ability to build strong respectful relationships with children families and colleagues
