Our Economic Development and Placemaking team is seeking a Head Economy and Place to lead the Economic Development team and help create exciting opportunities and initiatives that help our town centres :The Head Economy and Place leads a dynamic committed team delivering innovative business support and placemaking initiatives that bring our Economic Development Strategy to life. This role plays a key role in Councils commitment to revitalising our town centres strengthening local small business communities and enhancing key locations across our leadership role works together with four other team leaders in our division to deliver community-facing strategies events activations and services that build a vibrant City of the role: Manage and deliver the Economic Development Strategy via the annual operational plan and the annual budgetCreate new and deliver planned opportunities for business and community engagement via new and creative programs events live music activations and partnerships that deliver greatplacemaking and town centre vibrancyLead a small team all collectively committed to supporting our businesses and communitiesAbout you:Tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in business placemaking engagement events marketing or other relevant fieldsExperience in Placemaking and/or Economic Development or similar level written communication and verbal communication skills including experience creating and presenting strategic documents and plans reports and policies.A passion for creative placemaking and an understanding of building vibrancy for communitiesFurther information:View the position description online or contact Roxanne Fea Manager Economic Development and Placemaking onor #LI-ES1
