Transportation Construction Engineer

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Resident Engineer through coordination and communication with various project stakeholders to ensure project and client success
• Composure and diplomatic problem solving
• Analyze applicable codes standards and specifications for compliance
• Perform general field inspection of Road and Bridge Construction
• Measure calculate and report installed quantities
• Monitor materials sampling and testing schedules
• Monitor and analyze progress of contractors work
• Maintain various reports and project control documents

• Perform onsite surveys of existing site conditions and documenting field measurements and observations.

• Strong communicator with the ability to interact with a variety of internal clients.
• Participate in cross-discipline career development. Engage in continuous learning opportunities attend industry events and participate in internal training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Proactively accepts tasks beyond the primary scope and adjusts to changing priorities to ensure project success team collaboration and firm excellence.

• Field work is required which could include nights and weekends.
• Various additional project tasks as required

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Construction Engineering or Architecture
• Relevant experience preferred
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Bluebeam and/or CAD fluency preferred
• A sense of humor
• Valid drivers license

Salary Range: $65000 - $85000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant.
