About the Role

A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality projects. This individual will oversee all aspects of the preconstruction phase-from early concept development through final estimating-while driving collaboration across internal teams clients and design partners.

This is a high-impact position for a strategic relationship-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

What Youll Do

  • Lead preconstruction efforts including budgeting estimating scheduling and planning
  • Partner with owners architects and internal teams to deliver seamless project execution
  • Develop accurate cost estimates and provide ongoing budget updates throughout design phases
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and manage project risks proactively
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients subcontractors and stakeholders
  • Guide and mentor team members fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
  • Ensure alignment on safety quality and financial goals across all projects
  • Support proposal development presentations and pursuit strategies

What You Bring

  • 7 years of experience in preconstruction construction or a related field
  • Background working with a commercial general contractor
  • Experience managing projects ranging from $2M to $35M
  • Strong knowledge of estimating cost control and project delivery methods (design-build hard bid etc.)
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage client relationships
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
  • OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain) plus First Aid/CPR certification
