Job Summary

Lead Ranch Hand - American Ranch (Prescott AZ)

Assist and lead a team of Stable Hands in taking care of horses and the horse boarding facility. The Lead Stable Hand answers to the Manager.

We are offering benefits after 30 days.

Job Duties include by are not limited to:

Tracking and reporting services and changes in services
Assisting with scheduling Stable Hands
Stable Hand team oversight
Feeding horses hay grain and supplements
Loading the hay wagon
Put on and remove fly masks sheets etc. depending on weather
Turn horses out/ Bring horses in
Muck stalls
Bedding stalls
Cleaning automatic waterers
Assist with facility maintenance when asked by the Manager
Follow chore checklists provided by the Manager (AM - PM Weekly and Monthly Chores)
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Previous horse care & safety knowledge
Knowledge & ability to drive a UTV and tractor or a willingness to learn
Ability for physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Able to work in a team setting and independently
Ability to take direction and give direction
Basic computer skills
Must be responsible
Have own transportation
Work in different outdoor weather conditions

Schedule:

Weekdays some weekend days and some holidays. Schedule can also be flexible. This is a full-time job but part-time could be considered for the right person.

Compensation:

Hourly compensation
Every other pay period bonus plan
Over-time with pre-approval
Housing is a possibility
Cell phone and gas allowance
