The Warehouse Associate role is accountable for a variety of tasks and key job responsibilities within an assigned job function/area including; Receiving Pulling/Picking and Shipping Stocking Cycle counting. The role is also accountable for meeting and exceeding company-wide expectations in the areas of safety quality productivity errors attendance attitude/teamwork and may be cross trained in the other areas of Operations as needed.
The Exponential Technology Group (XTG) is a specialist in the electronic component distribution and design engineering services industries. XTG is part of the TTI Family of Companies.This position will be onsite Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm CST at the North Fort Worth Warehouse.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
The following summarizes the key job accountabilities to be performed by the Warehouse Associate in the respective assigned job function/area. They include but are not limited to:
Receiving:
Reviews product for accuracy to purchase order i.e. mfg. C of C part number quantity format and inspects for damage. Record lot/date codes on manufacturers packing slip and compare product attributes to packing slips.
Pulling/Picking:
Selects appropriate product identified on the pick slip carefully verifying part numbers quantities format and recording of lot/date codes on pick slips. Handle and pack product with appropriate packaging for shipment. Generate barcode.
Shipping:
Ships product through the XTG system. Ensure order accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Stocking:
Manage stock inventory control and associated records. Perform cycle counts as required.
Cycle Counting:
Accurately pull and count parts per cycle count sheets as required.
XTG Distribution:
Ensure XTG meets or exceeds internal and external customer expectations for quality cost and on-time delivery within the areas of assigned responsibility. Meets and exceeds established quality goals in relation to errors and productivity goals as defined by Management. Actively participates in job qualification audits and strictly adheres to all established standard operating procedures.
Maintain acceptable time and attendance based on XTG policies defined by Human Resources and Operations.
Demonstrate a positive team oriented attitude and approach toward all work assignments. Contributes to the ongoing success of the entire Operations team by willingly accepting and embracing other tasks and duties as assigned along with willingness to help the department as a whole. Other measurements of attitude/teamwork include but are not limited to effectiveness in working with co-workers ability to work overtime sense of urgency within the department ability to work unsupervised overall flexibility and positive attitude focused on delivery of desired results for XTG.
Ensure a safe working environment for self and others by adhering to established safe operating expectations and by following established housekeeping requirements. Notifies management of any observed safety hazards.
Performs FOD (foreign object detection) and location maintenance to ensure standards are maintained.
Cross trains in other areas as required outside of primary job function.
Possible Additional Duties:
Learn the value-add operations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years experience in receiving picking and shipping preferred.
SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Positive attitude and teamwork orientation.
- Detail oriented with strong quality and productivity orientation.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced goal focused organized environment
- Must be detail-oriented with good mathematical abilities
- Good verbal and written English language skills.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions.
- Computer experience preferred
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word and Outlook
- Interacts effectively with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization.
- Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to twist stoop squat bend and reach on a frequent basis.
- Ability to sit stand climb ladders and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Arrives on time to work scheduled hours and complete assigned tasks.
- Available to work overtime on weekdays and weekends as required
