Job Overview
Working under close supervision the Finance Intern supports Wawanesas objectives by providing a wide variety of general accounting and administrative support.
This is a student position with a start date of May 4 2026 and end date of August 21 2026.
Job Responsibilities
- Process general accounting functions of basic complexity inclusive of journal entry preparation and bank deposits.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Prepare regularly scheduled expense analysis.
- Update and prepare regularly scheduled reports distribution of regularly scheduled approved reports.
- Provide filing and administrative support to internal partners.
- Perform other related duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education pursuing a degree in accounting or finance.
- Demonstrated understanding of accounting rules.
- Experience using MS Office applications including Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
- Able to learn quickly adapt and apply learning to new situations.
- Effective prioritization organization and communication skills.
- Proven collaboration skills with various teams.
