Student Accounting OfficerFull Time Term position (May August)Finance DepartmentRegina CampusUnder the general direction of the Comptroller and with the guidance of the Director of Finance the Student Accounting Officer will be primarily responsible for providing entry level financial transactions in accounts receivable and payables including issuing payment to suppliers in a timely First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) allows students of all nations to learn in an environment of First Nations cultures and values. Process cheques for payment to suppliers in a timely manner including matching up purchase orders and invoices. Coordinate and process Travel Expense and Travel Advance claims Professional Development Request claims Elder Honorariums/Guest Lecturer Request claims and Contract payments ensuring proper approval prior to issuing payment. Maintain finance system including data entry on a daily basis. Assist with student account inquiries. Assists with the preparation of variance reports. Maintain the filing system for the Finance area. Provide holiday relief in a back-up capacity for the Accounting Officer(s). Perform other related duties as required.
