Electronic component validation engineer serves in a full-time in-office capacity in this role. Below are the key roles and deliverables of this position within CAT Legacy electronics systems engineering:

- Lead electronic component systems validation efforts under legacy engineering team.
- Visit electronic hardware supplier locations and perform technical reviews.
- Participate in NPI review meetings and provide validation coverage and test results to stake holders
- Reach out to various labs(inhouse and outside) and participate in EMC vibration and other hardware related testing
- Data mining and analytics
- Prepare presentations and reports on component level testing with detailed technical analysis.
- Understand various software validation tools( ex: CANape) and hardware devices(ex: Tektronix Scope multimeters dSPACE BUS Managers)
- Design ECM harnesses and define harness routing in machines and engines to support aftermarket kits.
- Collaborate with other systems teams in requirements update guidelines and standards and validation
- Capable of performing back-to-back component level validation with older and newer parts. Capture automation opportunities to validate components using scripts.
Top candidates will have following experience:
Education & Experience Required:
- Years of experience: 4 years
- Degree requirement: Bachelors minimum
- Masters with 2 years
- NO 2 year degrees
