Position Summary:
Level One: Working under direct supervision level one forge press operator completes basic forging tasks such as interpreting job doc including verify material sizes and correct tooling with job router. Completes basic forging tasks as relates to running a forging press. They will also be introduced to basic hand held inspection tools such calipers micrometers and thermometers and will be required to perform basic in process inspection tasks such as dimensional and temperature checks demonstrating very basic print reading and shop math skills. Basic hand tools. Typically 0-1 Years of Experience
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works under direct supervision to complete forging tasks
- Operates forge after setup has been completed
- Inspects parts as needed to ensure quality product has been produced
- Completes and verifies paperwork documentation on job/traveler

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add subtracts multiply and divides in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of basic computer use. Applicant should be familiar with machining and forging methods.

Required Experience:
A minimum of at least 1 year experience in industry or related field.
Level of Education:
High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
