Our client is seeking a qualified and or experienced educator to join their paddock-based nature-led play environment located in Cawarral in Central Queensland. This is a hands-on heart-led role for someone who feels more at home under open skies than under fluorescent lights and who understands that childhood is something to be supported not managed.
Learning here does not follow strict timetables or rigid programs. It unfolds through stick collections insect discoveries risky play spontaneous questions and stories told on logs.
About the role
This position involves spending each day outdoors supporting children through play exploration and genuine connection in a calm safe and nature-rich environment.
You will:
Spend your days outdoors in all seasons in a paddock-based play setting
Facilitate play with children ranging in ages from 1-5years
Support children through child-led play exploration and meaningful connection
Observe and respond to childrens interests rather than directing their play
Be comfortable supporting age-appropriate risky play
Create a nurturing inclusive environment for children with a diverse range of needs
Use technology to write daily reflections/diaries for families about childrens experiences

Demonstrates maturity in decision-making and can take responsibility confidently
Is calm grounded patient and reflective
Communicates clearly and respectfully with children families and colleagues
Values honesty integrity and professional accountability
Is genuinely happy being outdoors all day and working in natural environments
Essential requirements
Applicants must:
Hold relevant qualifications in early childhood education or child development or have extensive experience working with children
Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Hold Early Childhood First Aid including CPR
(HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting including CPR HLTAID009)
Have training or experience supporting children with a diverse range of needs
Be comfortable with having their photo used in marketing materials and information shared with families
Be willing to undertake a police Check

Part-time: 3 days per week (Monday Tuesday Thursday 21hrs total)
Commencing mid-March
Long-term opportunity with the potential to extend to full-time in the future
$35hr Super
Located in Cawarral QLD
