We are seeking compassionate and community focused Settlement Facilitators to support newly arrived individuals and families as they build their lives in Australia.
This role focuses on providing practical guidance orientation and culturally responsive support to help clients understand services build independence and strengthen their connection to the community.
You will work closely with case management teams community supporters and service providers to ensure coordinated and timely assistance across key settlement areas such as housing health education and employment pathways.
About the role
- Part time role 14 hours per week
- 12 month maximum term contract
- Based in Dandenong or North West Melbourne
- Travel across Melbourne required
Key responsibilities
- Provide settlement orientation and practical support
- Assist clients to access essential services
- Support independence through guided learning and navigation
- Maintain accurate records and case notes
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
Requirements
- Diploma of Community Services or similar
- Experience working with refugees or culturally diverse communities
- Strong understanding of trauma informed practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in a community language highly regarded
- Victorian driver licence and access to insured vehicle
