We are currentlyseekingpassionateexperiencedand qualified Learning FacilitatorEducationtojoin our academic team delivering face-to-face and online subjects within the Education Faculty.

Reporting to Jeanette Keser Program Director you will join a team of passionate and committed staff dedicated to creating a supportive inclusive and engaging learning environment. The team plays a key role in delivering an exceptional learning experience for students with a strong focus on understanding and responding to the diverse needs backgrounds and strengths of our student cohort.

More about the role:

We are seekingexpertisein Inclusive Education with a specific focus on Autism and Neurodiversity as well as Leadership and Literacy.
Research experience is desirable.

This is a full-time permanent position based at either the Surry Hills or Flinders Street campus involving a combination of face-to-face and online teaching.

Day-to-day accountabilities:

  • Manage thriving online classes as well as monitor and ensure participation of students.

  • Manage their own and the students time and attention to learning effectively

  • Validate and review teaching materials and make any recommendations necessary as perorganisationalpolicy and procedures

  • Make proper use of all current subject / unit outlines teachingmaterialand student learning materials

  • Utiliselearning technology effectively and embed in subject or unit delivery

  • Engage in student centered learning and teaching practices including but not limited tocompetency basedlearning and assessment flipped learningmaintainingan active and positive education experience

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications (as a minimum - Masters degree PhD preferable) in Education discipline

  • Demonstrated ability to work within a professional and motivated Academic team

  • Experience in Autism mental health Learning differences Leadership and Innovation and Literacy

  • Experience in course writing curriculum design and development will be highly regarded

  • Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively with staff and students from diverse backgrounds.

  • Ability to contribute to the academic and administrative environment of the faculty witha track recordof effectiveteam workand leadership

  • Strive for continuous improvement by contributing to subject reviews and course development

  • Ability to adapt to changes in a fast- paced Higher Education institution and effectively meet new challenges as they arise
