Junior Account Manager
Job Summary
Job Purpose
The Junior Account Manager will be responsible for managing existing accounts and onboarding new clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and be able to maintain client relationships while driving account growth and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with existing merchants and enterprise clients
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and escalations
- Onboard new clients and coordinate integration with technical teams
- Monitor account performance transaction volumes and revenue growth (KEY)
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities (KEY)
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention
- Work closely with operations compliance and tech teams to resolve issues.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in the payments industry (PSP fintech banking or related sector)
- Strong understanding of payment methods (cards mobile money bank transfers etc.)
- Familiarity with API-based payment integrations
- Experience managing merchant or enterprise accounts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret transaction data and performance metrics
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
