Job Summary

Job Summary

The MEP Manager is responsible for overseeing all Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering activities across the companys project portfolio. The role covers the full project lifecycle from tender preparation and cost estimation to design coordination and technical support during execution. The MEP Manager serves as the main technical authority for all MEP-related matters and works closely with project managers civil engineers design consultants and site teams to ensure technical compliance cost efficiency and smooth project delivery.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the MEP estimation process for new tenders including detailed cost calculations and analysis.

  • Review and re-measure tender drawings to verify quantity accuracy in the Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and identify discrepancies.

  • Analyze technical specifications and propose value engineering solutions to enhance bid competitiveness.

  • Prepare and compile all MEP technical documentation required for tender submissions.

  • Coordinate with commercial and project teams to develop technically sound and competitive proposals.

  • Liaise with external design consultants to develop MEP designs after project award.

  • Review and approve design deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications applicable codes and standards.

  • Issue approved design packages to site teams for the preparation of detailed shop drawings.

  • Ensure a smooth transition from design to site execution through clear documentation and effective knowledge transfer.

  • Act as the internal MEP technical advisor for ongoing projects.

  • Provide technical guidance to site teams on MEP design issues material selection and technical decisions.

  • Conduct site inspections and participate in testing and commissioning activities when required.

  • Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings.



Requirements


  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering (mandatory).

  • 12 to 15 years of professional experience in MEP engineering within construction or general contracting environments.

  • Proven experience in tender estimation project costing and bid preparation.

  • Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems across various building types (healthcare commercial infrastructure).

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.

  • Knowledge of French and international construction standards is an advantage.

  • Fluency in French is required; English is an asset.

  • Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
