Part-Time School Speech Therapist Evaluation Focus Illinois

Our Organization is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Speech-Language Pathologist to provide part-time support within an Illinois school district. This opportunity is designed for professionals who prefer concentrating on assessment services and contributing to eligibility determination rather than managing a traditional therapy caseload.

The selected Speech-Language Pathologist will provide part-time school-based evaluation services for students suspected of having communication disorders. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments analyzing results preparing detailed evaluation reports and assisting educational teams in determining service eligibility and developing appropriate recommendations for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The clinician will collaborate closely with teachers administrators related service providers and families to ensure evaluations are completed accurately and within established timelines. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply as multilingual support is highly valued.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related discipline and possess an active Illinois SLP license or be eligible to obtain licensure. The ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Prior experience conducting evaluations in a school-based setting is strongly desired. Bilingual language skills are highly beneficial. Applicants should also demonstrate strong organizational abilities effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate successfully within multidisciplinary teams.
