What does a successful DevOps Engineer do at Fiserv

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineerwith extensive experience in cloud-native infrastructure automation and CI/CD practices. This role involves leading initiatives to improve deployment reliability scalability and security using tools such as Kubernetes SaltStack ArgoCD AWS Jenkins GitLab Docker and Helm.

What will you do:

• Architect and maintain scalable secure infrastructure on AWSusing Kubernetesand containerization best practices.
• Lead infrastructure automation efforts using SaltStackand Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Design and manage GitOps workflows with ArgoCD integrating with GitLabrepositories and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkinsand GitLab CI ensuring fast reliable and secure deployments.
• Build and maintain Dockercontainers and Helm chartsfor application packaging and deployment.
• Collaborate with development QA and security teams to streamline release processes and enforce DevSecOps practices.
• Monitor system performance and availability using modern observability tools.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across teams.

What you will need to have:

• 11 years of experience in DevOps SRE or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetesin production environments.
• Deep knowledge of SaltStackfor configuration management.
• Proven experience with ArgoCDand GitOps workflows.
• Advanced proficiency in AWScloud services.
• Expertise in Jenkinsand GitLab CI/CDpipeline development.
• Solid understanding of Dockerand container orchestration.
• Experience with Helmfor Kubernetes deployments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python Bash or Go.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana ELK stack).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

What would be great to have:

• Certifications in AWS or Kubernetes (e.g. CKA CKAD AWS DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g. Istio Linkerd).
• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Background in security and compliance in cloud environments.
