Located conveniently off the Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue in Glendale Arizona St. Josephs Westgate Medical Center a campus of St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center is the centerpiece of Dignity Healths West Valley expansion. With a vision of Partnering with patients physicians employees and communities to improve the health of all we serve; St. Josephs Westgate Medical Center is collaborating with groups to build an organization that meets todays changing healthcare needs.
As part of the new 35-acre medical campus St. Josephs Westgate Medical Center features new approaches to healthcare via its onside collaboration with Dignity Health partners. The Westgate team has a solid patient/physician focused style to customer service; actively partnering with patients and physicians to plan for the continuum of care. It is with Dignity Healths humankindness movement that gives St. Josephs Westgate Medical Center the opportunity to open a hospital that is based upon partnerships with patients physicians employees and the community.
With future plans to expand St. Josephs Westgate Medical Center a 60000 square foot hospital includes a 12-bed full-service emergency department a 24-bed inpatient unit 2 operating rooms 2 procedural rooms dedicated space for diagnostic services an ambulance bay and helipad. The campus features some of the most innovative uses of materials to promote patient safety patient satisfaction and medical efficiency.
We are extremely proud to be a nationally recognized center for quality quaternary care medical education and research. St. Josephs includes the internationally renowned Barrow Neurological Institute Norton Thoracic Institute Cancer Center at St. Josephs Ivy Brain Tumor Center and St. Josephs Level I Trauma Center (which is verified by the American College of Surgeons). The hospital is also a respected center for high-risk obstetrics neuro-rehabilitation orthopedics and other medical services. St. Josephs is considered a sought-after destination hospital for treating the most complex cases from throughout the world. Every day approximately 20 percent of the hospitals patients have traveled from outside of Arizona and the United States to seek treatment at St. Josephs.

In this pivotal leadership role you wont just manage youll inspire. You will be the architect of a high-performing surgical nursing team passionately dedicated to deliveringexceptional patient-centered care and fostering a culture of continuous growth and operational excellence.
What Youll Do Every Day:
- Strategic Leadership & Empowerment:Guide mentor and empower our dedicated team of Registered Nurses cultivating an environment where every individual can excel and contribute their best.
- Operational Acumen:Oversee all facets of clinical operations within the surgical unit ensuring seamless workflows optimal resource utilization and adherence to the highest standards of care.
- Patient & Team Advocacy:Be a compassionate voice for our patients advocating for their well-being while simultaneously championing the needs and professional development of your nursing staff.
- Performance & Growth Catalyst:Drive professional growth through targeted development initiatives regular feedback and opportunities for skill enhancement ultimately achieving and exceeding unit goals.
- Dynamic Staffing & Resource Management:Strategically plan and optimize nursing staff schedules leveraging historical data and forward-thinking analysis to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient resource allocation.
- Performance & Quality Oversight:Consistently measure and evaluate employee performance providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.

Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Of Science Nursing or equivalent education and experience upon hire and
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and
- one (1) year of leadership experience.
Licensure and Certification:
- Registered Nurse: AZ
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required
