Job Purpose:
Galderma is currently hiring a Medical Affairs Manager for India and South Asia
Under the overall guidance and supervision of Medical Affairs - Head.
This role as an individual contributor will ensure effective and up-to-date communication of scientific data through external engagements enabling healthcare professionals and health decision makers to bring relevant healthcare solutions to their patients
Bring medical and technical expertise to the relevant brand teams and other internal business partners of 3 business units (Prescription Consumer and Aesthetics) with specific focus on Prescription and Consumer business.
Job Requirement:
Education Behavioral Competencies and Experience:
Medical Degree with minimum 5 years of Medical Affairs experience within pharmaceutical industry
Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical industry drug discovery research & development commercialization promotion and applicable policies procedures regulations and guidelines
Knowledge of Dermatology therapy area and local regulations preferred Knowledge of the overall drug device and cosmetic discovery development and commercialization process
Experience with risk management and HCP compliance preferred Experience and demonstrated ability to manage highly trained medical scientific and technical professionals preferred
Experience in development and implementation of clinical trials
Experience in the principles and techniques of data analysis interpretation and clinical relevance
Experience in writing clinical publication and delivery of scientific presentations
Relationships with external KOLs and thought leaders.

Main Responsibilities:
Management of medical plans:
Implement country medical strategy and plans in line with the regional/global medical strategy to ensure country level priorities and needs.
Partner with country commercial team to develop and implement medicomarketing plans to ensure continued success and competitive leadership of Galderma products.
Provide proactive input and reactive support to the R&D development strategy and projects according to country needs for success of new product launches. Maintain and monitor the medical plan reporting and budget expenditures.
Medical Training:
Develop training materials and deliver disease and product training to commercial and sales partners
Act as speaker for the disease area and scientific knowledge of Galderma portfolio.
Review & approval of Promotional and non-promotional materials:
Manage the integrity and accuracy of scientific and medical data communication both internally and externally for promotional and nonpromotional purposes
Review and approval of medical promotional market access and other information materials for country consumption
Contribute to claims development strategies and implementations for new and marketed products.
Management of Medical Information and Inquiries:
Manage and response to HCPs and customer medical inquiries and information activities related to Galdermas products in accordance with regional /local model referencing global standard responses.
Evidence Generation and Data dissemination:
Responsible for the local clinical evidence generation strategy and communication plans
Manage investigator- initiated studies (IIT) and support facilitation of IIT and other local clinical trials (e.g. Phase III & Phase IV) including oversight and management of CRO
Communicate actively with internal and external stakeholders on current and new medical scientific data.
Medical education and scientific engagements:
Lead and organize scientific engagements and medical education and professional development of experts (e.g. advisory boards medical symposiums)
Provide medical and scientific expertise to support product launches key scientific meetings relationship management with leading research physicians and critical evaluation of current literature.
KOL and Medical Society Engagement and Development plans:
Develop KOL and Medical Societies Management Program
Interact with KOLs and healthcare decision makers at scientific meetings and other medical forums
Engage in scientific exchange with KOLs to obtain input on disease landscape current data and evidence gaps for Galderma marketed and development stage products.
Track treatment guidelines and conduct peer to peer scientific discussions to maintain a reliable presence with KOLs and develop professional relationships. Serve as a resource for scientific expert to provide inputs on external medical society collaboration and partnerships.
Establish and maintain professional and credible relationships with KOL key and academic centers/centers of excellence
Partner with academic centers teaching institutions/universities to develop education programs trainings and professional development of experts.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Lead on continual critical evaluation of engagements in relations to HCPs and Healthcare organizations (e.g. grants sponsorships) in India to ensure that it is consistent with both the internal policies & local regulations proactively identify challenges and develop contingency plans to meet them.
