Job Summary

Job Title: Perm - Physician - Hospitalist

Join a dedicated Hospitalist team at a well-established facility in Syracuse New York where you will provide high-quality inpatient care within a supportive physician-led environment. Our organization is committed to delivering mission-driven healthcare with comprehensive support from specialty fields. As a nocturnist you will be integral in ensuring exceptional patient outcomes during overnight shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide overnight inpatient care (7 PM 7 AM schedule) at St. Josephs Hospital.
Work a 7-on/7-off rotation with 12-hour shifts.
Perform admissions and manage hospitalized patients overnight.
Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations.
Document all patient encounters in EPIC EMR.
Provide closed ICU overnight rounding on Hospitalist patients.
Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition.
Collaborate with subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams.
Coordinate appropriate follow-up care arrangements upon discharge.
Deliver patient-centered high-quality inpatient care.
Participate as part of a respected collegial Hospitalist team.
Utilize strong clinical judgment and communication skills in acute care settings.
Experience is REQUIRED; fresh graduates will not be accepted.
Not accepting locum candidates or visa sponsorship.

Qualifications:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 2 years of eligibility) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
Clean malpractice and license history.
Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).

License and Certification Requirements:

New York Medical License or willingness to obtain.
DEA certification.
Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
