POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our 38-bed (2810) multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit (ICU) you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Position: Registered Nurse
Department: ICU
Schedule: 36 Hours (Nights Weekend Every Third)
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Deliver nursing care in the ICU unit including assessing diagnosing planning intervening evaluating and educating patients
Communicate with various health care team members patients and their families
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
Update and manage patient records
Enter and interpret computerized data/information
Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCHS nursing department
Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Nursing degree: Diploma ASN or BSN (preferred) Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required
EXPERIENCE:
2 years of RN experience required in a med/surg setting
ICU experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
Basic computer proficiency
Fluency in another language a plus
Compensation Range:
$39.02- $90.05This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
