Facility Overview: - 247 licensed beds Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Teaching Hospital
- Chest Pain and Certified Stroke Center
- Travelers must live 50 miles from facility

Unit Details: - 53 beds plus overflow; average census 58
- High acuity fast-paced Level 3/4 NICU environment

Experience Requirements: - Minimum 2 years recent Level 3/4 NICU experience
- First-time travelers require manager approval

Common Patient Diagnoses: - Respiratory: RDS TTN MAS BPD
- Cardiac: CHD (TOF VSD HLHS) PDA PPHN
- Neuro: Seizures IVH HIE
- Other: NEC sepsis NAS hypoglycemia congenital anomalies

Patient Ratios: - Based on acuity: 1:1 1:2 1:3

Licensure & Certifications: - Active RN license
- BLS and NRP required

Required Skills: - EPIC EMR experience
- Management of ventilators trachs invasive lines (ART CVP) vasoactive drips
- EVDs Camino device CRRT baby-side ECMO (preferred not all required)
- Feeding tubes chest tubes G/J-tubes suctioning dressing changes sedation
- Alaris and Medfusion pumps
- Discharge planning and bedside procedures

Support Staff: - Unit Secretary Charge RN IV/VAT/PCVC Team Resource Nurse Respiratory Therapist Intensivist Residents APP Tele monitoring Educators Clinical Supervisors

Technology/Equipment: - EPIC Omnicell Alaris/Medfusion pumps Phillips monitors PIV ultrasound Tecotherm MOMs breast milk scanning

Floating: - May float to Neonatal PCU Peds CVICU PICU or General Peds for support

Orientation: - 2 days departmental orientation plus facility onboarding

Scheduling: - Weekend and holiday rotations required
- No call for travelers
- 12-hour shifts: 0645-1915 or 1845-0715
- 6-week schedule cycles

Dress Code: - Navy scrubs (solid navy/white undershirts permissible) pediatric-friendly tops
- Bare Below Elbow policy in nurseries
