Based on-site in support of the customer (Waymo) the Inventory Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for driving improvement initiatives implementing inventory controls and risk management optimizing warehouse throughput data analysis and reporting and providing training and documentation as needed in order to support and manage the lifecycle of materials and distribution from receipt to final disposition at the Milpitas CA facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally with warehouse operations teams and other on-site department teams to establish best practices and corrective actions for inventory process management
- Ensure that corrective actions and SLAs are carried out in a timely manner and track the success of those initiatives to continuously improve inventory accuracy
- Manage key metrics including Inventory Accuracy Aging Inbound/ Outbound throughput
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through process optimization and innovation
- Prepare analyze and present detailed reports on findings including discrepancies recommendations for improvement and root cause analysis
- Generate actionable insights and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve inventory discrepancies address inefficiencies improve overall inventory management and customer experience
- Serve as a key/first point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding related Waymo inventory issues findings and improvement opportunities
- Manage the end-of-life process for damaged or obsolete goods ensuring all scrap is physically segregated and financially transacted correctly
- Monitor and report on slow-moving and obsolete inventory. Drive action plans for disposition to free up warehouse space
- Provide training and guidance to staff as needed on procedures and the importance of accurate reporting
- Other duties and special projects as required
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree with a specialization in Supply Chain related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years logistics supply chain large scale warehouse operations or related experience
- 3 Inventory management - Specialist
- 3 years demonstrated experience planning organizing tracking and controlling tasks to achieve goals
- 3 years of stakeholder management and facilitation
- 1 specific customer experience within customer systems and knowledge of their SOP/SWI operations
- Experience driving process improvements and implementing corrective actions
- Knowledge of Kaizen Lean Six Sigma and dashboard reporting is preferred
- Experience and knowledge of inventory management software SAP/WMS systems (specifically MM and WM/EWM modules). Must be comfortable with T-Codes movement types and data extraction
- Ability to use critical thinking to develop evaluate recommend and present best options
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- A proactive and results-oriented mindset with a commitment to driving results
- Risk sensitive recognizes when problems arise or are likely to arise
- Excellent customer service skills including a proven ability to listen comprehend effectively communicate
- Proficiency in using Google Suite tools including Google Sheets (Pivot Tables VLOOKUPs Data Visualization) for data analysis information sharing and turning raw data into actionable insights
- Travel 10%
