Control and Instrumentation Technician
Altera Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Control and Instrumentation Technician. The successfulControl and Instrumentation Technicianwill be a technically strong professional with hands on maintenance experience in a process or power generation environment who thrives in a safety focused and performance driven setting.
Key Responsibilities ofControl and Instrumentation Technician
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical control and instrumentation systems to maximise plant availability and efficiency
- Diagnose faults and undertake effective repairs across plant equipment and control systems working closely with operations teams
- Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded within the site maintenance management system
- Supervise and coordinate third party contractors on site ensuring compliance with safety procedures and method statements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives supporting plant reliability engineering integrity and long term asset performance
Candidate Requirements
- Recognised electrical or control and instrumentation qualification at NVQ Level 3 ONC or equivalent
- Proven experience within a power generation biomass thermal or similar industrial process environment
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems instrumentation DCS or HMI platforms and control systems
- Sound understanding of health safety and environmental requirements within an industrial setting
Whats on offer
- Competitive salary in the range of 47000 to 51000 per annum dependent on experience
- Day based role working 40 hours per week supporting a healthy work life balance
- Call out rota of 1 in 4 paid at time and a half with a minimum four hour payment
