Company Background:
We are representing our client a professional culinary service provider that serves the needs of the aviation healthcare and other institutional sectors in Brunei Darussalam. They operate a well-established restaurant group specializing in hot kitchen operations and Chinese cuisine serving both traditional and contemporary dishes.
Job position: Chef De Partie (Hot Kitchen - Chinese Cuisine)
Work Location: Brunei Central Kitchen (Accommodation provided)
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare cook and present dishes ensure consistency in taste quality portioning and presentation.
- Manage the section and supervise cook and commis position to ensure smooth operation.
- Maintain strict quality control measures for food presentation flavor and consistency ensuring the meals meet companys expectation.
- Food Safety and hygiene: Ensure adherence to food safety regulations such as proper storage transportation and preparation to prevent contamination and ensure passenger health.
- Collaboration and Training: Work closely with Senior Sous Chef and other departments in menu planning and recipe development for Chinese Cuisine.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 5 years experience in professional kitchen with at least 2 years specializing in Chinese Cuisine / Hot kitchen / wok cooking
- Prior experience in hotels restaurants or catering operation preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulation Halal regulations (HACCP certified is a plus)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Creative and passionate about food with strong attention to details.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and communicate effectively with all level
- Flexibility to work various shifts including early morning late night and weekends.
- Diploma / Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
Additional Information / Benefits
- Working hours: 6 days a week 7 hours 20mins a day
