- Technical Pastry Chef - Cake and Dessert
- Technical Pastry Chef - Croissant and Danish
Work Location: HQ in Ipoh Perak (Central Kitchen). A new outlet will open in KL/Selangor in 2025.
- Accommodation allowance provided (for outstation candidates)
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest standards of quality and consistency across all products.
- Develop new recipes and refine existing ones to enhance product offerings while preserving the authenticity of baking traditions.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that all products meet the companys standards for taste texture and presentation.
- Manage ingredient inventory ensuring optimal freshness and availability of all necessary supplies.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior bakers and kitchen staff fostering a collaborative and educational work environment.
- Work closely with the product development and management teams to introduce new and seasonal products aligning with market trends and customer preferences.
- Adhere to and enforce all hygiene and safety regulations maintaining a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of related working experience.
- Possess a culinary degree or equivalent certification in bakery or pastry arts food science or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef Bakery Chef or R&D Chef in the food industry with a focus on bakery products.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a team.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques ingredient functionality and recipe formulation.
- Creativity innovation and passion for experimenting with flavors textures and presentations.
- Communication collaboration and presentation skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail accuracy and adherence to food safety and quality standards.
- Familiarity with food regulations labeling requirements and industry best practices in bakery R&D.
