Required Skills & Experience:
3 5 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer
Strong AWS experience including EC2 Security Groups command line usage and ECS Fargate
Experience with GitHub Actions and Jenkins (CI/CD pipelines automation etc.)
Hands-on Terraform experience - both command line and coding - to build cloud infrastructure create/modify resources and update security group permissions following existing patterns
Linux environment expertise: Amazon Linux system maintenance troubleshooting and scripting for installation and deployment
Scripting & automation skills (Packer Terraform or Ansible preferred)
Strong critical thinking - must be able to take tickets and work independently without heavy guidance
Excellent communication and proactive updates; must know when to escalate or ask for help
Experience reviewing and remediating vulnerability and FinOps tickets (cost optimization workload cleanup etc.)

Job Description
In this role you will support infrastructure operations for a suite of software products by managing permissions handling access requests via Slack and troubleshooting one-off operational issues as they arise. You will assist with releases for new services and perform ongoing patching and maintenance across cloud infrastructure primarily within an Amazon Linux environment. Using AWS services such as EC2 and Security Groups along with Terraform for infrastructure as code you will follow established configurations to build modify and maintain cloud resources. The role also requires writing scripts to support automation and deployment workflows collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure stable and secure operations. While the environment is mostly Linux-based there may be occasional interaction with Windows systems though this is secondary to the core responsibilities.
