What youll do
- Build curated datasets and optimize Snowflake performance/cost
- Design incremental pipelines backfills and reconciliation processes
- Implement monitoring and data validations tied to SLAs
- Collaborate with API/analytics consumers on stable contracts and documentation
- Improve operational maturity (runbooks alerts incident learnings)
- 5 years in data engineering; very strong SQL modeling
- Snowflake (or similar) experience with performance tuning mindset
- Orchestration/pipeline experience (Airflow preferred)
- Python
- Fivetran/DBT/Streamsets (Good to have)
- Experience designing scalable distributed systems with efficient memory management optimized partitioning and informed batch vs. real-time processing trade-offs.
- Proficient in building reproducible cloud environments with CI/CD and automated observability to ensure reliable high-quality data systems at scale.
Preferred
- Storage lifecycle optimization (retention purge archival) governance-aware design
